Kamudhi — bioenergy in India's solar capital, with an export gateway 80 km away.

Built on 500 acres of Giant King Napier Grass beside the 648 MW Kamudhi Solar Park — one of the world's largest single-location solar installations — this project delivers a full-cycle bioenergy-to-hydrogen-to-dry-ice value chain with captive solar power at ₹2.0–2.5/kWh. When operational, it will be the largest integrated biogas-to-hydrogen-to-dry-ice facility in India.

Three structural edges

Why Kamudhi

  • 648 MW Solar Park adjacency — captive renewable power at ₹2.0–2.5/kWh underwrites the lowest-cost hydrogen in the portfolio.
  • Tuticorin Port at ~80 km — export access for green hydrogen and dry ice through Tamil Nadu's primary green hydrogen gateway.
  • CBG market access — 15 TPD feeds directly into Tamil Nadu's CNG/CBG blending mandate.
  • Employment — 180–220 direct jobs across plant, agriculture and logistics.

Support sought

  • Land: 500 acres for Napier cultivation at Kamudhi via TIDCO/SIPCOT.
  • Power: TANGEDCO connectivity and captive solar access.
  • Incentives: capital subsidy & SGST reimbursement under TN Industrial Policy 2021; CBG offtake policy (SATAT / TANGEDCO blending mandate).
  • Export: green hydrogen export infrastructure at Tuticorin Port.

Support sought from the Government of Tamil Nadu & Guidance Tamil Nadu — items are requests within the ₹1,453 Cr investment proposal submitted to the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
